I don’t know if I’m thinking of another program, but I remember in the past a setting that only allows manually entered ‘step time’ score notes to only allow the note values of the current key. In other words it would not allow ‘non-scale’ notes to be entered unless a modifier key was pressed like Shift or Alt.
I have looked in the manual but can’t find anything related to this situation when manually entering score notes. Entering notes with the mouse and having to fine tune the mouse movement each time to remove incorrect accidentals is slowing my workflow down.
