Is this something you people experience?
It happens to me a lot, but maybe I´m thinking about this in the wrong way?
Picture 1: not visible at all
Picture 2: somewhat visible with but a “strange” resolution.
Picure 3: the 5 dots each represents 16th notes
Not reproducible here.
What version of HALion are you running?

I´m running H 7.1.10.
Cubase 14 Pro

Gave it another try just in case …
2 bar loop synced to host tempo.
Image 1. The initialised preset looks ok.
Image 2 & 3. Then, after closing and reopening HALion the grid is either gone or appear illogical and useless as guide.
Exactly the same problem here.
Halion 7, Halion 7.1, Halion 7.1.10 and also 7.1.20. Stand alone and VST3
Windows 10.
Grid not showing most of the time.
Can’t draw or paint on a loop or shaper envelope to a grid or snap resolution.
Basically the point of the shaper envelope is moot.

After a lot of uninstalling and re installing
It seems that the envelope grid became broken in the Halion 7.1.10 update.
Does not work in the 7.1.10 and 7.1.20 versions.
Now using 7.1.0
Hi vbre and Mrhehon,
I’m now able to reproduce it here. It seems to happen only if the first node is selected. It’s now in our Defect-Tracking-System and listed as Bug-ID “ HALLY-11142”.
I hope we can provide a fix for it soon.

Halion update and not fixed. Disappointing.
If you want to sync multi node envelopes to the project (loop or shaper) it just doesn’t work. It’s a mess.
I was hopeful that after your reply all I had to do was select any node other than the first but nope.
One of the selling points of the 6 to 7 update was the new shaper envelope. Now 7.1.30. and still unusable as since 7.1.10.

Introduction of shaper envelopes in Halion 7 (great feature)…Broken in the first couple of updates. Reported and confirmed.
A year later still nothing (shaper envelopes still not fit for purpose).
Thanks for staying on this. Agreed, it should be fixed.
A workaround I’m using in the meantime; you can manually specify the rhythms using the parameter box on the left. It’s a PITA but at least it works.
