Hello. I am trying to reduce the attack on a bass guitar in Cubase using the stock Envelope shaper to make some space for the kick attack to come through. When I reduce the attack however it starts to click and gets progressively worse the lower I set my attack. I am unable to process my bass guitar at all with this tool as it introduces clicking at the very beginning. Does someone know why this happens and how to overcome this?

I’ve noticed similar patterns when using the strip’s Envelope Shaper, and some compressors with ultra fast settings. Even though the clicks aren’t there in the export, it’s fairly prominent when soloing or listening to tracks. I don’t know what’s up with that, but I too would be interested in an explanation.
