Hi friends!
i have cubase 12 and i’d like to know if it’s possible to apply EQ and/or dynamics not in all the track, but in a part of it.
i have a microphone used by many people in a event, so i need to equalize it differently because someone is male, other female and so on. the same microphone is switched to a lot of people, so it’s difficult for me to duplicate a track so many times, one for each people who talk with microphone. So i’d like to use a single track, cut it in different pieces and apply different dynamics each for each cutted-track. can i do it with cubase?
thank you so much
Sure. Hopefully you have Cubase Pro. Use the Direct Offline Processing.
can you explain me better, please? sorry
Can you confirm using Cubase Pro?
yes! i’m TRYING to learn it
I asked because Artist and elements don’t have this feature in the way that you’d require it.
So, here is the manual:
In short, Direct Offline Processing (DOP) lets you add effects to audio events instead of tracks.
There are a couple of short videos o nthe Cubase YT channel as well:
oh God!!! it’s possible!! thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu huuuhuhuuhuhuuu !!
Another option… If you just drag the clips to a new track, this new track has the same settings as the source track.
You can then add/remove processing as needed. (and all other mix settings would remain)
This seems the fastest way, at least in my workflow.
