Hello and how are you all…
My question is about the equalizers (for any track), I have found that following typically any random crash or non response from cubase (if and when these happen, few and far between, but when they do…well, the equalizer when I reload the project are not picking up the way they left off. What I am finding as was the case last night, I went through all the individual tracks to hover and slightly adjust/move each parameter to engage the equalizer to its normal state, although this took a few mins because I had about 10 tracks/channels to go through it made me think is there a way to prevent that. It is worth adding, I have at times found that when there is a glitch with the accurate reading of the eq (as has happened before over the years) I have had to venture into the control panel of sound system and alter the buffer size samples and then it all reloads, but this means I end up going from 256 to 384 for example so if I want to remain at the selected buffer I have to switch that back again to.
Thanks again in advance, I did not really want to list all my computer specs etc, for now we will just see if there is a simple solution (for now) Thanks.
Hi Martin,
Thanks for getting back to me.
I will seek out the latest crash dump file, as there was one a few days ago.
I have however…just had to depart from my location where my main pc is where the crash dump file is stored, i may not be back for a few days, but then again i may be able to pop in over the weekend at some point.
So i will send you a file as you request, note i had another crash before i left tonight, the screen went all pixulated just before it forced restart of my pc. Yeah, all this is since the cubase 12 i managed a production or two that seemed to work fine initially, but there is a bit of uncertainty at times as to if the software will crash or at the least be slow to respond. On the contrary its not all just cubase 12 , i loaded cubase 11 for a test and went about working on that ,and in that particular session something wentqrong from memory, think it stopped reponding or crashed either way, the next time i loaded cubase 12.
P.s…yes you seem right RE: cubase loosing data, i imagine there is some memory loss, but i guess it would be ideal if it didn’t crash in the first place.
Anyway,
I’ll be in touch (next few days)
Regarďs,
Adrian
Please find it attached ( the crash dump) this was the last one where the screen went all pixelated and the restarted my computer,
Kind regards,
Adrian
Hi Martin,
I managed to load a dump file for you, thanks.
Note, I had noticed that the software requires me to re calibrate the sound device control panel by via selection of the (any) alternative sample buffer size, what happens is this restores the eq’s and tracks settings so the sound is better/or normal.
I guess I am wondering why it needs that attention when I loose the accuracy of the equalizers activation, for any or all tracks in the project.
Anyway just closed my project, and then reloaded and got this message. Thought I better add to your inbox for inspection.
I closed down the project, after working on it a bit , with no real problems as such , just the fact I had to re select another sample size in order to obtain the accurate audio sound replication. However, I just loaded it for a test after closing successfully (with no real problems) however it gave this message, it mentions something about “freeze”.
Thanks for any assistance, kind regards in advance, and I have added the crash dump file along with the screen shot of the pop up message on loading cubase.
Hi Martin,
Yup, I had reverted back to the version 2.0.4 for some reason, I know that because I can see the install date back a few months ago. However I did reinstall the Version 2.1.1 and through using Cubase 12 I seemed to have a very good session as I mixed with quite a fairly reasonable amount of tracks all with multiple vst plug ins on numerous tracks, feeling confident it should all be ok now. So thanks, once again. I really appreciate it. Have a great week man.

Adrian
