is there anyway in cubase 8 to eq or de-ess a highlighted section of a track…i don’t need it on the whole track just one word…of a vocal. thanx
there are several ways to achieve the same thing in C8:
ranging from: (and using Cubase VST3 De-esser or De-esser of choice)
using De-esser as insert and automating the bypass
Audio offline process on the audio selection
Duplicating the track and de-essing just what you want while cutting that space in previous track (and leaving just that part on second track)
fine adjusting level on the sibilant part only
There are other ways using EQ/sidechaining etc/compression/automation.
