I suddenly can not use the Download Assistent anymore. I always receive the following error message:

yes, I have installed the latest version.
Something is broken with that app on your system.
You should, in this order
- uninstall Steinberg Download Assistant
- delete the directory
%localappdata%\Steinberg Download Assistant - Install the Steinberg Download Assistant from this page: Steinberg Download Assistant | Steinberg
I tried this and removed also ‘Download Assistent’ anywhere I could find it, but after installing it anew, it still shows the same error.
… are you running a 32bit Windows by any chance?
No, 64bit. So weird, … never had an issue like this before.
There may be some file corruption going on.
Try running sfc /scannow from an admin level command prompt. See if it logs any attempts at file repair.
