Hello,

I am using the free trial of Dorico Pro 5 and having two key problems. I’m importing a MusicXML file from Musescore, and when I attempt to load the file, I get an error saying the above. Further, it will load only the first four instruments of my score, the last being English Horn. Is this a limitation of the trial? I’ve created a few test scores in which I am able to use a larger ensemble, so I’m not sure if that is the case. Either way, I’ve been toying for hours trying to find a solution both in my own efforts and through searches here on the forum. If anybody has any insight on how I can seamlessly import the XML file, that would be greatly appreciated!

The trial version should be able to do everything their purchased counterparts can do (for 60 days); so what you have encountered is not due to using a trial version.

If you can post the XML here, someone may be able to spot an error.

Here is the XML file. The error message mentions issues on lines 49174 and 49175.

Disregard. I just had to go in and manually delete all instrument changes from the MuseScore file before exporting. This worked, inducing no errors.
