Do you get the same issue on Cubase 12? (Just download the trial to check it out)
If not the plugin might not be compatible with C7 anymore, which could very well be, as its over 10 years old.
If you get the same issue, contact the plugin dev, as it’s got nothing to do with Steinberg/Cubase.

Thanks, for your help. I’m puzzled because the plugin came from Kontakt komplete 9
which came as a bundle. The plugin in question is Battery 4. I recently had an update from Kontakt and battery 4 did not appear in Cubase after the updates but resides on my desktop.
