Error on Export - HALion failed to write icons make sure files are not in use

I have used HALion 7 to create my own instrument. I have ensured that all pages in the macro are 595x390 and wish to export the program as a vst3 preset for HALion Sonic. When I go to the file tree and select the appropriate options I get the following error.
" HALion failed to write icons make sure files are not in use by Halion or other programs." There is no option to fix the error and I get the same error if I am in Cubase 12 pro or standalone.
Any Ideas?

What exactly (which layer) are you exporting?

You should select and right click the mynewTemp in the program tree and export as vst3 preset. Check the option to export as Halion Sonic layer preset if you plan to use it in Halion Sonic.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. I did exactly as you described. I even tried making a new preset with just a blank page with one knob. I still get errors on export. I will keep trying.

Finally figured it out! If I export my preset to my desktop it works! It seems like the export has to be to a directory outside of the main Steinberg directory or you get an error that the files are in use.
Worked for me anyway.
