when I start Dorico, I get an error message about missing components (see attached screenshot). I have downloaded these components now on three occasions - with no error messages to suggest a problem. Anyone else experiencing this?
thoughts on why this is happening?
thanks
Can you do Help > Create Diagnostic Report and attach the resulting zip file here?
Thanks! Here it is.
Dorico Diagnostics.zip (444.4 KB)
Thanks. It definitely appears that these libraries are missing. If you run Steinberg Library Manager, what does it show for Olympus Choir Micro and Marching Percussion Basics?
This is what appears in Library Manager
So neither of those libraries are listed? In that case, please try double-clicking the .vstsound files that you’ll find in the Steinberg folder inside your Downloads folder to see if that correctly registers them in Steinberg Library Manager.
So by ‘Downloads Folder’ you mean:
Steinberg/OSX/Sound Content for Dorico Pro 4 (recommended) ??
I do not any files there labelled Olympus or Marching.
Everything begins ‘FCP_SMT_001_HS…’
Sorry - that makes no sense.
Which folder do you mean by ‘Downloads’ folder?
OK I have found a file:
SMT_011_Marching_Percussion_Basics.vstsound
In Library/Application Support/Steinberg/Content/VST Sound ??
When I double click it, I get an error message “the original item can’t be found”
Try re-downloading the Marching Percussion Basics and Olympus Choir Micro files via Steinberg Download Assistant. You’ll then find the .vstsound files inside Downloads/Steinberg/OSX
. Double-click them to register them with Steinberg Library Manager (which should also move them to the proper location, which is indeed /Library/Application Support/Steinberg/Content/VST Sound
– presumably what you have in there right now is an alias or shortcut).
Thank you! That seems to have worked. Downloads Manager now looks like this:
Great - thanks for the speedy solution.
