Etude Elements and NotePerformer [Solved]

I would like to create some chamber scores in which the piano playback is from Etude Elements but all other playback is from Note Performer. Question: Do I have to create a custom template? (I have not found a way to make NP itself allow for EE piano.)

It should be possible to set up the file in NP and then reassign the pianist to Etude (and its expression map), but setting up a playback template to repeat the process would not be difficult at all.

Here’s how to create a playback template that uses Etude Elements and then other instruments from NotePerformer.

  1. Go to Play > Playback Template
  2. Select Auto, then click the Duplicate Playback Template button
  3. With Auto selected in the Entries panel, click the + in the Instrument Overrides panel
  4. In the instrument picker, find and select Piano, click OK
  5. In the Entries panel, click the Add Automatic button and select NotePerformer
  6. Give your template a name, and select a space template if desired
  7. Click OK to save the template

Now you can apply this template to any project.
