Events/parts names don't change when using [shift]+[return] on track labels

How come when I select the track name and hold shift and hit return the name of wave no longer changes? This was a great feature to name of tracks labels as you wanted them to.

With Cubase 13.0.41 (Windows 10)…

  1. Track selection :

C13_EventRenaming_ShiftReturn1

  1. [double-click] on the track label :

C13_EventRenaming_ShiftReturn2

  1. shift+return

C13_EventRenaming_ShiftReturn3

Not sure that this is what you are looking for, though…

EDIT - I changed the thread title, as from my understanding, it’s actually the audio events/MIDI parts that are involved. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.

That’s exactly what I do. But if you look in the pool the name doesn’t change. It use to.

Aha ! So, it’s the pool window content that is involved.

On my end, renaming events has never changed anything in it, as the pool window is dealing with audio clips and their associated file, not events. Using the Info line, you can also see that renaming an audio event doesn’t change anything in the displayed File setting.

What can lead to changes in the pool is, among others, bouncing audio event(s) after an audio processing.
