"Event's position exceeds part's boundary" setting..

“Event’s position exceeds part’s boundary. Do you want to enlarge the part?”. Here, ticking the “please don’t ask again box” suppresses the message, but only until you close the project and open another one (or the same one).

Not sure if this is a bug (that’s been around as long as I’ve been using Cubase i.e. v6) or by design but personally think the message should be suppressed until you enable it again via a preference and I think that’s how most people assume it’s going to work.

Totally agree, this is super annoying. Is there no way of setting a global option for this, so we can set it once for all, in all projects ?

is it possible to make permanent now? thanks

Another easy to fix super annoying “bug” noone seems to care about… Please make this a global option at last.

Somehow, this is still not addressed. I emailed support September 2022, they confirmed it was a"Bug" and the rep I spoke to seemed to have no clue about it. Anyway, it has still not been addressed unfortunately.

Stumbled here for this… moved to Cubase from Ableton in 2020, and was wondering about this already then. Now that I’ve clicked “Please, don’t ask again” quite many times, I’d like to find a solution. So, can this setting be made global? Anyone found a solution? It’s very usual to, for example, move MIDI notes outside of the event, and still be wanting to use them.

I mean, not a big deal, just an unnecessary workflow killer to always have to click Please, don’t ask again
