If there is a possibility to exclude File Tab, the interface can look much cleaner.
95% of what this has is already there in the file menu. Adding the rest under File Menu - File>New> and File>Open is all that is required.
I understand this was a new default that was introduced to WL, but at times, the File Tab is confusing than helping, for instance - when user click on render - below master section etc.
Also providing other software File Menu for reference.

The file button below the file menu is at times confusing.
I believe this was added to WL as an always-open floating window for users with two screens.
For users who only have one screen, this floating window takes up a lot of screen real estate.
If all of what the File Tab has, can also be a part of the main file menu (as mentioned in the original post) and if this could be renamed to File Operations and be made similar to the startup assistant, that can be disabled or enabled, may be one way to go about it.
This would involve a lot of reorganizing (Preferences, Tools etc.) as many features of WL are now linked to the File Tab.
Render in Master Section is also using File Tab which is now called as Export. If the render button on the master section and the Operations Window can work separate, it may be good - where the Master Section Render work like how it was before (as in picture below).
I hope something creative can be thought about and implemented by the developers in the future. (For example - File Tab becoming a Tool Window sub-menu)
