Expland the VST spec to include modular synth style routing.

I would like to see the VST plugin format changed from a midi/audio paradigm, to a midi/audio/cv paradigm. Looking at software like VCV rack and bitwig, the proof of concept is there. Or perhaps create a new format?

I understand the challenges of such a change are immense, modular architecture adds a lot of complexity to signal paths and workflow. Working it into the traditional mixing desk paradigm is a real headscratcher.

I’m sure it’s a topic that’s been discussed many times. I’d just like to add this to the forum, in the hopes that it might stimulate some discussion.

totally agree with you nowdays modular is back in many studios , they even use it in their promotion videos so why no votage control integration in cubase yet ?? i think it should be defintly in the next update
