… importing the media project into Cubase and only the MIDI data are exported/imported, no VSTs. I expect VL export instrument tracks with the VSTs (and sounds) used in VL, not only MIDI tracks.
… we’ll check,
Michael.
… it’s fixed now. Please re-try with the next Pre-Release on Friday,
Michael.
This one here?
The tracks are connected to their layers, when importing into Cubase only MIDI tracks are imported.
Version 2.1.18
… I’m lost. Can you give me some more hints? What is not working? What’s missing? Maybe a small Cubase project will help? We just need the *.cpr file. And use internal Cubase instruments and plug-Ins.
Thank you,
Michael.
So, I’ve tried it again.
No VST track in Cubase. Something wrong in my VL project?

Cubase 14 / VST Live 2.1.19
HI @Elias1957,
now I understand your problem.
I am loading that project to VST Live. There are two tracks. One MIDI Track with an Output routed to a Layer.
And this layer has loaded Retrologue as an Output instrument
You’ll export this VST Live project as a “Media project”, Start Cubase 14 and import it.
And “only” the MIDI Track is imported to Cubase.
You’ve expected that the Layer will be imported, too. If not, then at least the connected Retrologue as a VSTi in the VST Rack?
→ I see! That’s currently not supported. There are no plans that a layer itself will be imported to Cubase. The Rack-Assumption is an interesting point. We’ll think about it.
Did I get it now?
Michael.
Yes Michael, you get it
