Export SVG

Hello! I’ve recently gotten my hands on a quite nice iPad and thought I wanted to try out the Dorico app just for fun while I’m travelling. When I opened up a heavily engraved project file I was immediately very surprised and impressed that the iPad version has almost all of the features I use on the computer. I was able to continue working on this very complicated score, and thought I would export to svg and continue doing the graphical elements in affinity designer as I usually do but there came the first and so far only heel for me.

As far as I can tell it is not possible as of now to export svg files? I would absolutely love for this feature to be added, as it would enable me to make completely finished contemporary music scores while travelling lightweight! If it does not seem too hard to implement, that is my number one request!

Thank you for the fantastic software!

Indeed, you cannot export SVG from Dorico for iPad at present – but you can export PDF, and I would expect you to be able to open a PDF inside Affinity Designer on iPad (though I’ve not tried it myself).

Simon, an non-expert here, but:
if you export to .pdf, isn’t there an svg “under the hood”? Don’t pdfs store graphics as vectors, when coming from an app like Dorico?
If you try to import a pdf (1 page only) to Affinity Designer, what happens?
