I did experience this myself, and actually the updated time stamp does not prevent this from happening. The problem is not on Dorico side but on iTunes (or what’s it called today) side. iTunes loads the audio file the first time and keeps it in its cache, then Dorico updates the file and sets a new time stamp, but iTunes just ignores it and continues playing out from the cache.
So exporting to a different file name is just a workaround for a problem in iTunes or the underlying caching mechanism of the operating system. Dorico is doing everything correctly (unless you prove me wrong
