Exported WAV doesn't have mastering changes

Hello!

I am new to Cubasis 3 and am not sure how to export a song with master mixer effects included on my ipad.

I imported a wav file and put the master strip effect on the master mixer slider and got everything sounding nice, but when I mixdown and export the wav it doesn’t include the changes. I tried re-importing the new “mastered” file and the wav looks exactly the same visually.

Any beginner help is much appreciated! Thank you.

Hi taibo1986,

Thanks for your message.

Normally, these are the steps to create a mixdown including all project settings:

  • Go to Media/Mixdown
  • Tap “Create Mixdown”
  • Make your settings as desired and tap “Start Mixdown”

Please let me know if you’ve created the mixdown as described above.
Otherwise, please give it a try and let me know if this resolves the problem.

Thanks,
Lars

Thank you for the quick reply!

Yes I did that but it didn’t seem to reflect the mastering changes on the master slider in the mixer. I imported a wav file into the project that was a mix from another app and mastered just that one track on the master slider. Then I went to mixdown, and exported that. Afterwards I imported the mastered wav file and it didn’t seem to have the changes, the wave forms still looked uncompressed visually and sounded quiet.

I am brand new to this and I might be missing something but I wanted to throw it out there it could be a bug.

EDIT: I tried again today and the changes were reflected. It might have been user error. I will keep an eye on it and see if I can reproduce in the future.
Thank you again for the help.
