Exporting causes a prompt to resave

I’m using Dorico 3.5, planning to upgrade soon. Not sure if this still the case in Dorico 4 but when I export a file to graphics (pdf), an asterisk appears next to the filename at the top of the window, and I’m prompted to save the file when I close it, even though no changes have been made?

For me, this has always been the case. I’m on a Mac, and when I print, or export a graphic, the red dot in the upper left has a black dot - the Mac way of saying the file needs to be saved again. It’s been the way for as long as I can remember. Perhaps someone will come along with a reason as to why this is.

When you export, those settings are also saved for the next time you want to export – if you save.
