To start with: I am very happy with the MIDI trigger regions. I like these. There is a clear distinction between the notes to be heard and the ‘help-notes’ for the keyswitches.
In exporting MIDI: dynamic signs results in varying velocities (e.g. piano) or varying CC11 (e.g. flute). The Vienna Symphonic Library (used by me) uses velocities (velocity-classes) for almost all instruments. Not only for the keyboards/ piano, but alsso for strings, woodwinds, brass.
It would be nice if (in a newer version of Dorico) I can choose in MIDI export: dynamic signs result in velocity changes OR in result in CC11 changes or result in both. I now add CC11 changes manually in my MIDI-file, that is a lot of boring work. This would be for me an option NICE TO HAVE. Thanks in advance.
If you add CC11 as second dynamic controller in the expression map, it should get exported together with the velocity dynamic. Does that satisfy your needs?

Hallo David, You have the solution I was looking for. Many thanks. I thought I don’t need to do anything with the expression maps, because I export the MIDI-file and I use it in a separate DAW that uses the VSL-libraries. But I didn’t realise that other choices made in the expression maps will result in a different MIDI-file. If I had known this earlier… I now did a small test only, but I will implement it in my 48 track piece.
So could you perhaps credit him with the solution tick? It will help future forum users.
