When exporting to PDF in Dorico’s Print mode, the resolution is set to 150 dpi; will this yield a high-quality print? Also, it appears this field cannot be edited directly—is there a way to change it to a different value?
Ignore that. PDFs are vectors, not images, so they have an “infinite” resolution.
Export a PDF using the graphic option, and it will be exactly as you expect it, perfect quality.
