When an expression map is affected to a track the keyswitches of the midi keyboards are unavailable,
is it normal ?

Yes it is.
You have to set your keyswitches by defining remote keys in the Expression Map Setup.
Depending on your VST instrument it is also possible to import key switches automatically:
select the track
open Expression Map section in the Inspector
click on “No Expression Map”
and select “Import Key Switches”.
It would be a bad idea if you could both play a sound and set a Keyswitch on the same note. Imagine playing a run and when you get to the fourth note, you change the whole patch to staccato, unintentionally - not good
