Then I exported the map and opened a different project. In this project I can also see the map but the names of the switches are different. Therefore I tried importing the map but it still looks the same. The two custom playback techniques don’t have the names I’ve set. That is ‘Crescendo TE’ and ‘Gong Effekter’. What have I missed?
Saved expression maps don’t contain custom playing techniques. The only thing Dorico has to go on is the ID (pt.user…). Have you tried re-creating the custom playing techniques with the exact same names?
Then I don’t understand the purpose of making custom expression maps.
Do you know where I can find these renamed playing techniques? I can’t find them in the Playback Techique Combinations window.
You mean re-creating them and give them the names ‘pt.user.crescendo_te’ and ‘pt.user.gong_effekter’? I haven’t tried but that could be a workaround maybe.
What you are missing is the “star” icon when you create the custom playing technique. That star tells Dorico that you want it to be available for all of your other projects and not just this one. Like most things in Dorico, you have a choice. You can go back to the original project and add the star - that would be least amount of work to get what you want.
