External FX Not consistently working

Hey there, I’m having an issue where if I load up Wavelab on a fresh boot up on the computer. The External FX won’t allow signal through as it did prior to rebooting. I’ve checked that my settings and ports are all the same (they are saved) and it appears it’s fine. However, no sound is going into the outboard gear or back into Wavelab.

The fix that I have found is to change a few device ports around, hit save on the preset again and then it passes audio.

Any ideas here? Am I maybe missing something?

It seems like it’s the AES ports specifically, so audio back into wavelab from my interface. I’m having to change those to something else, then back, then save the settings and it seems to fix it for the time being while I work in Wavelab.
