External Instrument Patch Names

Hi,
I successfully set up my Wavestation A/D in midi device manager and it works fine, I could see all patch names inside device setting.

The question is if I could see patch names in the Instruments track I create for that or I could only see patch numbers.

If I create a midi track i can choose patches using patch names but not in the instrument track, here I could only use patch numbers.

Is it true or I am missing something?

Hi,

You manually need to create a patch list. And it needs to placed in here:

c:\Users%username%\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\Cubase 10.5_64\Scripts\Patchnames\inactive\

Take a look how patch lists are build and save it there.

You’ll need some sysex info about bank/patch numbers.
