Sending stereo signal to external stereo compressor. All physical cabling and software routing is correct (Cubase, Motu’s “CueMix”). All channels are stereo in Cubase. Tests indicate that cables are working and the Motu Audio-Interface is showing a return signal that is Stereo. However, when it hits Cubase, only the left-side signal is received. When I BYPASS the inserted External FX upon playback, presto…Stereo!

I discovered the reason why the right-side of the stereo was missing, and it was not Cubase’s fault. I was looping the External FX with in/out cables Line 3/4, which corresponded to L/R. My interface software (“CueMix 5” on the “Input” tab had “Line 3” flagged for “To USB host”, but “Line 4” was not flagged for “To USB host”, so I set it and suddenly I was getting the full stereo signal into Cubase.
