I use Fabfilter plugins and the sidechain compressor no longer works properly. The compressor works fine but it will not sidechain to the input signal and simply ignores the sidechain functional altogether. I tested to make sure it wasn’t a global sidechain issue and it is not.
I can’t reproduce the problem. Pro-C2 and Pro-MB work correctly in internal and external sidechain mode (Cubase 12, VST3). Do you have the latest versions of the plugins installed? What Cubase version do you use? Did you try both the VST2 and VST3 versions of the FF plugins?
Problem solved, thanks. I updated my computer and Fabfilter 2 days before their update came out and I missed it. I usually check for that stuff but confidence got it my way!

I installed fab filter plugins- Pro-C2, Pro-R2, and Pro-Q3 in Cubase 12 pro. They all show up as VST2. I uninstall them and now I’m trying to reinstall them. I tried the Pro-R2. It’s showing up in Prog files/Common Files/VST3, but it’s nowhere in the Cubase’s Plugin Manager. Tried this several times to no avail. Really need these plugins for my projects. Any suggestions.
