Can any of you Nuage Owners tell me how to get the fader pack controls to display on a tablet (like in this picture)?
If you are running MacOS, you can add an iPad as an additional monitor. It’s a pretty handy feature. I use my iPad as an additional monitor all of the time when I am working on my MacBook. However, I’m not sure how you would do this in Windows. I am running Windows 11 with my Nuage and have never thought to try it.
Thanks so much for the reply. I have an iPad. But I’m running my Nuage system on a Win. 10 PC. So, still not sure how that could work.
How did you get the Nuage controls onto the iPad? Maybe the process would be the same for an Android tablet? If not, maybe I could still load the controls onto my iPad even though it’s PC based.
Either way, should I be so fortunate as to figure it out on how to get it onto a tablet, my big goal is to get it onto 2 tablets! Then, I’d have a much smaller footprint for two fader packs, without the PC displays blocking the reference monitors. Is there even a remote chance of this?
I have never tried to use the Nuage controls on iPad, as I am running Windows 11 with my Nuage. When I use my iPad with my MacBook as a second monitor, it is not with my Nuage. It is for mobile use when I am tracking on the go. My MacBook is Apple Silicon, so it is not supported to use with Nuage.
Well, this composer clearly figured out a way to do it, as is shown in this pictured. But he’s in Spain. I went to his YouTube channel, where I got this picture, and asked him how he was able to do this. But I haven’t gotten a reply yet. Don’t know if I will. But I was hoping that he wasn’t the only person to do it. So, I came to the most logical place to ask.
Anybody else have any idea how this is done?
It is just mixer window on iPad.
How To Use An Android Tablet As A Second Monitor? [2024]
He may be using an Intel Mac, which again, is simple. If you are using Windows, here is a brief video describing how to use an iPad as an additional monitor.
Can you do this with 2 Tablets? If the feed is coming directly from the PC as a monitor, can I use the tablets to replace the actual PC monitors?
If it is the case of already having spare tablets hanging around, fine. There are a number of apps you can use for this, just google for them and they will pop up.
But if you will invest in this option, I’d highly recommend against doing so.
Just buy small monitors, either portable or POS ones, and you will be much better served, with less latengy, no fiddling around with apps and cpu problems and disconnections, etc.etc.etc. I’ve tried it and it is a pain.
That is an excellent suggestion! I just found some 10" displays that look like they would be perfect for this. It never occurred to me that anybody was making just monitors that small, as the market has always seemed obsessed with bigger monitors to the point of using wall mounted TVs to satisfy their craving.
Thanks so much to all of you for your help on this.
