Hmm - unfortunately I have to say the problem still persists (FP16, C12.0.20). The 9th scribble strip (in other words 1st in the second faders group) has the nonsense text on it. As soon as I rename the track linked to it the text appears correct. But as soon as I shift the Channel/Bank on FP16 the text changes back to for example “0010101”. I am sure it has some relationship with the position because it can be seen only on that scribble strip. FP16 with firmware 3.51 (latest).
Probably very late answer but I got this issue fixed on C12. Go to “Studio” > “Midi Port Setup”. look for all the 3 devices here below and unselect the “In 'All MIDI Inputs”:
“MIDIIN2 (PreSonus FP16)”
“MIDIIN3 (PreSonus FP16)”
“PreSonus FP16”
then click on OK to close the window.
Job done, now your FP16 works perfectly.
Cheers
Hi - thnx for the tip, no difference on Scribble display #9. If moving through Channels (via FP knob/arrow keys) the wrong text (=numbers) is still there but randomly changes for the correct channel (track) name…completely unpredictable. But no problem related to functionality FP in Cubase; just this one text field…
I’m actually having the same problem. Fader 9 showing 0010101 and all of the other faders showing the audio track number. Not sure how this isn’t a wider issue. Computer is on win 11 and all software is up-to-date.
This sounds - for me - like some data mismatch because it is not stable (at least on my side). When changing the banks of faders it either remains or moves (I think) accordingly or disappears and shiws up after one or more another bank shifts… I did not resolve any logical relatuonship between this behaviour and the activity done (either on Cubase or on FaderPort itself).
TBH it does not have any impact on functionality so it is just irritating
