Failure updating to Cubase 8.0.40 with asiogll.dll error

I have been trying to update from Cubase 8.0.35 to 8.0.40 today (64bit) and received the following error during the installation:

“Module C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Asio\asioglld.dll failed to register. HRESULT - 2147024770. Contact your support personnel.”

I checked the folder "C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Asio" and the file “asiogll.dll” was not in there.
I have been applying all updates so far successfully (up to 8.0.35) without any issues.

System: Windows 7 (64bit), Cubase 8.0.35

I’m having the exact same issue… Can someone please chime in and help?
