Fallback audio device

Hi,

I don’t know if I’m alone in this, but I sometimes don’t turn the audio interface and speakers on when having to do a quick work on a score.

As a consequence, Dorico doesn’t play. The audio device on which it falls back, when the main audio interface is not found, is the first in the list. In my case, it is the Adobe Encore option.

Couldn’t we choose the fallback device? I would like to select the built-in audio speakers as the ones automatically selected when the main audio interface is not found.

Also, I would like that the main audio interface is then automatically selected when found again.

We have no plans for anything like this at present. Consider setting up an aggregate device in Audio MIDI Setup that includes both your preferred and fallback audio devices, and set Dorico to use that.
