Feature request: Adhere to current Ableton Link tempo on opening project

I have been experimenting with syncing Cubasis via Ableton Link using multiple iPads running Cubasis + other hardware. What I noticed is that Cubasis broadcasts the tempo on opening a project instead of adhering to the current tempo.

While this might make sense in some situations it can cause sudden and therefore very obvious tempo changes which is undesired in my situation (live performance).

For example let’s say:

  • I have a song called ‘A’ originally created at 140 BPM
  • The current Ableton Link tempo is 130 BPM
  • iPad 1 is playing song A in Cubasis synced via Ableton Link (so 140BPM song playing at 130BPM)
  • I decide the make a transition to another song called ‘B’ on iPad 2, song B was originally created at 120BPM.

When I open the song B on iPad 2 the Ableton Link tempo changes to the tempo of that project (120BPM) which causes a very noticeable drop.

What I would like to see happen is that the Ableton Link tempo would stay at 130BPM resulting in song B on iPad 2 being played a bit faster (120BPM → 130BPM) allowing a transition from song A (140 → 130BPM).

Would it be possible to make this configurable?
