The On-Screen Keyboard is a little, super useful tool to input notes and actually play when you don’t have a keyboard at hand or you’re on the go and don’t have a full setup.
Since when it’s up it already “locks” the keyboard input, why don’t take advantage of the full querty keyboard? This is a proof of concept for my feature request:
Basically:
- Two modes: “chromatic mode” and “in key” mode.
- In chromatic mode, you can easily fit two octaves and a half instead the single octave we have now
- When “in key” mode (you can select the scale just like you already do in Chord Track or Scale Helper panel) only the scale notes are playable. On a qwerty keyboard, this gives us four full octaves to play with.
