Hi, working with Synthesizer V Studio 2 I discovered this.
It is possible to work with more than one flow in Dorico.
My steps:
- I use VEPro, for each flow I make a seperate Synthesizer V Studio 2 channel in VEPro.
- I import the choir of flow 2 in the appropriate Synthesizer V Studio 2 channel.
- I start playing flow 2 in Dorico on the place where the sopranos start singing, now I can see in Synthesizer V Studio 2 where the singers start. (I take care in Synthesizer V Studio 2 that the cursor jumps back to the place where the music started, when I stop playing).
- Now I select all notes in Synthesizer V Studio 2 of the sopranos by clicking on an empty place in the soprano part of Synthesizer V Studio 2 and tap ctrl + a, press ctrl X and than ctrl V. Now the sopranos start on the right place in the music.
- So I do with every singing part.
After that I can work, adjust all things, works fine.
When I make an audio of flow 1 and 2 together, no problem, the singers sing on the right place.
The problem starts when I want to make an audio file of just Flow 2.
The problem is, that in that case Dorico starts at time zero (the start of Flow 1) and not on the time where Flow 2 starts.
Playing Flow 2 is no problem, then Synthesizer V Studio 2 on the right place, but making an audio file of just Flow 2 doesn’t work.
Of course there is a work around (making an audio file of Flow 1 and 2 together in one file; after that deleting the music of Flow 1 of the audio file).
My feature request: when I make an audio file of just Flow 2, that the Synthesizer V Studio 2 starts on the place where it start when I play Flow 2 in Dorico.
