Feature Request: Filter Notes by Specific Articulation (e.g., Staccato Only)

Hi Dorico team,

I’d like to request a feature that allows users to filter and select notes based on specific articulations — for example, selecting all notes with staccato.

Currently, Dorico’s filter system doesn’t support this kind of articulation-specific selection. In Sibelius, this is possible using the built-in filter options or plugins, and it’s very helpful when working with large scores or applying playback techniques via expression maps.

Being able to filter notes by articulation (staccato, tenuto, accent, etc.) would significantly improve workflow efficiency and open up more possibilities for targeted editing and playback control.

I understand articulations in Dorico are treated as properties of notes, not separate entities — but even a basic implementation (like “Select all staccato notes”) would be a great improvement.

Thanks for considering this!

Yes, I would like this too. Good idea!

plus the ability to hide and disable playback articulations only, as it is not uncommon that the articulation which would make sense for a human player is not always the best match for the required library technique.
