Feature Request for Cubase 15 Pro

Cubase 15 Pro

Hi all, as a Cubase pro version user I would like to see some very important updates to our workflow, I believe its useful and it will benefit everyone and that is:

RMS Level for individual tracks (Voltage):

The ability to have an option in the mixer where the pre and post fader to be able to activate the RMS level “Voltage” for each track individually not summed only in the control room.

INFO BAR (Describes settings and changes in Real-Time):

An Info bar somewhere in the top left or right when you hangover your cursor you get the info about your moves “Volume, Plugins info, Panning, Settings name and usability etc”

Clipped Plugins (Signal Indicator)

An indicator near the plugins inserts that shows if any of the plugins is clipping in inserts or in the mixer, if it’s near clipping is yellow and if the signal is healthy it shows a green dot depending on the project mixing target that can be set as a VU meter or Peak meter in the control room or in the mixer. An indicator on the right or left side of the plugins inserts.

FX Send knob (Instead of a horizontal bar):

Is it possible to have an option to change the sends bar to a knob looking which is more practical when using a mouse rather than a horizontal bar or the ability to switch it from bar to knob, I think it will be very nice and more precise when sending signal using the mouse or a MIDI controller to a channel.

Real-Time Volume Reader (Peak/RMS)

Last but not least a real time volume update for each audio track under the fader that shows the current volume in Peak or RMS instead of pressing ALT to reset the Volume reader.

Thank you all

Are you suggesting something more detailed than what exists currently when Tool Tips is checked?

We have a history in the mixer where we can see our moves, some analog plugins emulation doesn’t have a value reader to how much you added gain or which frequency you changed, the function is there but not practical, the info bar will show you an info about that info while your tweaking your settings or what does the internal Cubase functionality do for new users and it describes it in a short sentence. It’s there but we want to have it on the top left, an Info Bar that tells us what we just tweaked.

I know it’s been asked for before but a quick way to switch channels (as in non audio) from stereo to mono please. Like a little icon or something to click on the channel. Or perhaps a little slider having 0-100. 0 being mono and 100 full stereo?

VST3 plugins practically cannot clip. They have a headroom in excess of +700dB. Therefore such an indicator would be pointless.
A plugin has to be programmed in order to create clipping. In this case the creator of the plugin should also take care of an indicator themselves.

If you have instruments which you would like to see with a mono output please kindly ask the developer of the plugin to provide a mono output.

You know, you can move the mouse up and down on those bar “knobs” just like you would a regular knob and get the exact same functionality. You don’t have to move the bar left/right.

Umm ok  Other DAWs have this simple option on the channel in some form. At the moment I use the cubase stock stereo enhancer and set it to mono on the selected channel. Would be nice to have this feature on the actual channel though.

This thread is already not on the original topic.

If you post just one request in a topic the ensuing discussion will be more fruitful.
