I would love to see a default setting in Engrave mode that would allow me to put the Segno to the right of a rehearsal mark instead of on top of it. I have seen the sego placed in front and behind the rehearsal mark (especially in handwritten works) but I can’t think of a single time where I’ve seen it on top. So I have to change each one in engrave mode on every part which is a real time suck.

I agree that placement of items outside the staff relative to rehearsal marks needs work, and it’s on the team’s radar; however, the easiest way to fix it in the meantime is to attach the segno to a rhythmic position i.e. one eighth note before after the rehearsal mark.
That would affect playback. Better to move it into position in Engrave mode.
