Feature request: Import .aac/m4a directly files in Cubase

Hello,

I’m here to request a feature that I imagine was a discussed topic but of which I can’t find a trace and of which I don’t understand why it’s still not possible to directly import audio files into Cubase with the aac or m4a files extension.
These audio format are often exchanged on the web/smartphone as demo files or reminders on which to build an arrangement or edit/cut audio in general.

Why Cubase is the only daw that still doesn’t allow us to directly import these files without switching from other software, or worse, from other daws?

I hope it’s a feature included in the table of the next Cubase releases, the best Daw out there.
