Not much to elaborate on here! As the title says.
There’s a lot of changing polyphony in piano scores and reductions; it would be great to control this without the need of a mouse/pointer.

I was working on a piano reduction the other day and needed to remove a bunch of rests as I went along in bars where the secondary voice didn’t need to be padded. I found that using the jump bar to trigger Edit > Remove Rests and then simply hitting J Return thereafter to repeat that command was already incredibly quick. I don’t typically use the Starts voice or Ends voice properties: we added Remove Rests so that you didn’t need to use these properties directly.
Ok, thanks for the suggestion. I’ll try using that in my workflow instead.
I assigned a shortcut to Remove Rests in the first month I had Dorico. I use it in every session.
Is Remove Rests just a shortcut for setting Start/End Voice on the closest note on either side separately, or does it have a unique function?
It’s just a shortcut for setting Start/End Voice on the closest note (or rest) in the relevant voice, either side of the selection.
