I’d love to see two small but powerful additions to Cubase’s crossfade workflow:
- Nudge Crossfade Left/Right
Key commands that move the crossover point of a selected crossfade earlier/later without moving the events and without changing the fade length/shape.
Basically: treat the crossfade as an object that can be nudged on the timeline.
- Increase/Decrease Crossfade Length
Key commands that make the selected crossfade longer/shorter (ideally around its center) instead of having to zoom in and drag the tiny fade handles with the mouse. The amount of change should be tied to a user-adjustable parameter (e.g. a “Crossfade Length Step” in ms or samples), so each keypress increases/decreases the length by a predictable, configurable amount.
These two shortcuts would make the editing process much faster and more ergonomic, and allow true keyboard-driven fine-tuning of crossfades in the Project window. ![]()
