Would be nice to be able to add a 3rd party app to Cubasis, tap a hypothetical “Learn” button in Cubasis, move a parameter in that 3rd party app, have that parameter show up in the automation lane in Cubasis, and then draw in or record automation for that parameter.
Feels like something is missing in Cubasis without it. Seems like a “Learn” button would be the best way to go about it, rather than having Cubasis read every single parameter of a 3rd party app and create a long massive list. With a “Learn” button users could simply add automation lanes for parameters as needed, while avoiding the cluster of a potentially huge list of parameters to sort through.
I hope to see it soon, Cubasis is great, this would make it greaterer!

I was after the very same thing as you, and then I accidentally came across a YouTube demo of a brilliant little app call Ribn, (correct spelling), it has 8 ribbons that can be programmed to any CC number.
After launching Cubasis, also launch Ribn, go into it’s settings,
select MIDI and select Cubasis for the configuration path.
On Ribn, tap the three sliders on top left and simply assigned any CC number, try CC74 on ribbon 1 for instance, select your preferred synth app, set its filter Frequency to MIDI Learn, drag the bottom right corner of Cubasis to half a screen, drag Ribbon onto the right side and just swipe your finger across ribbon 1, it will continue to move after you remove your finger, your MIDI parameter has now been set and the frequency control will rotate, each ribbon can be used as a LFO modulator to control 8 different parameters at the same time……if required, the faster you drag your finger on any ribbon the faster the modulation, but for the purpose of just setting MIDI Learn, the speed is not important, once the parameter has been set, just tap the circle with the diagonal line to stop the ribbon.
Here is the App link, I can’t remember the price but I think it’s only a few pounds but is definitely worth it if you intend using MIDI Learn regularly.

Thanks for the reply. I think I was just doing it wrong, and now I can get the parameters to show up in automation lanes. Though apparently not all apps work? For which your workaround applies? Been a while since I used Cubasis.

Please forgive my ignorance, I have seen this request on this forum many many times, I can assign MIDI Learn Parameters to all my AUv3 plugins in Cubasis 3 using either my external MIDI controller or a app called Ribn, what is actually going to be added to Cubasis that is on your list?
