Feature Request: More control for hide empty staves

Hi All,

It would be great to be able to choose different staves a specific instrument to hide empty staves for. Sometimes in things like Piano, choir, or percussion, I do not want to ever fully hide the player, but would like to hide all but the main staff when empty. I know you can do a work around using manual staff visibility, or using division staves and what not, but this can get dangerous and quite fussy. Adding the “Piano (a), Piano (b)” etc to the menu would greatly improve control and customization. Thanks!

Indeed, as Sibelius or Finale offer (and may be other softwares).

Being able to select a few bars and then choose to ‘hide staves’ locally would be preferable to the current visibility command. A huge waste of time. There are several threads discussing this feature.

It’s so obvious that I reckon we’ll see this in a Dorico update soon.
