I would like to request that Dorico store Export File Name Options with each project, or at least offer a project-specific override.
At the moment, Dorico usefully remembers the export folder for each project, but the filename recipe itself seems to remain global. This means that the naming syntax I used for the last project is still active when I export from a different one.
For example, one project might need filenames based mainly on layout name and project title:
$l - $t
Another project might need the project title first, followed by the layout name:
$t - $l
For some projects I may also want version information, key/instrument labels, or other text included in the exported filenames. Those choices are often specific to the project, not to my general Dorico setup.
I understand that some users prefer one global filename recipe, so I would not want that behavior removed. But it would be very helpful if Dorico could either save the filename recipe with the project, or offer an option such as “Use project-specific export filename recipe,” while still allowing users to save a preferred global default.
Dorico already remembers the export location per project. It would be very useful if it could also remember the Export File Name Options per project.
