Hi everyone,
I have an idea for a feature that would be especially useful for users who work with external outboard equipment.
Current situation:
When using External FX in Cubase, the hardware window (showing latency, etc.) is very helpful. However, there is currently no way to document the hardware settings (e.g. compressor, EQ, or preamp parameters) directly within the project.
Proposal:
In the hardware window, an additional dropdown field or tab could be added where users can store recall notes and ideally also photos of their external hardware settings.
Possible features:
A text field for manual notes (e.g. “Ratio 4:1, Attack 10 ms, Output +2 dB”)
Option to upload photos of the current hardware settings (e.g. a phone photo of the front panel)
Project-based storage of this data (either inside the .cpr file or in a project subfolder)
This way, when reopening older sessions, all recall notes and hardware information would be immediately visible and stored directly within the corresponding hardware slot.
Kind regards,
Chris
