I’m working on a vocal piece with many extended melismas. So creating all these slurred phrases means highlighting groups of notes and hitting “S”. I was wondering if an additional method could be added where you simply highlight the lyric and hit “S” and have all a slur added to all the notes until the next rest or lyric. Possible?

One could also apply the slur, select it, and use SHIFT + OPT/ALT + right-arrow to lengthen the slur.
Yes. But I’d like an option that’s fewer steps. Click on the lyric, hit “S”, done.
You could select the 1st note, ctrl-click the the last note, then S.
Yep. I’m using all those options. Just wondering if it could be reduced to a single click, single keystroke. I could move through a piece much faster.

This sounds like a good idea. It’s kind of like clicking on a beam to select all of the notes under that beam and then applying a slur.
Yes! That’s an excellent comparison.
This is a pretty awesome idea! ![]()
