If you make your way, with Gollum, into the labrinths of Cubase’s liar, you can find, under Plugin-in Manager, a musty dusty box called Plugin Information.
Currently holding file paths, versions etc, it’s is pretty worthy (and elegently coded) place to be, but could it be more? Easily?
Light bulb:
This niche is currently confined to presenting local data on a per VST/FX basis. How about leaving a space (VST4?) Where the manufacturer of the plug-in can have a link to a website, a description of the role of the plugin (we have so many) and even a link to a tutorials?
The space would then become highly useful. We have a lot of plugins and everyone has their first initiation to new tools.
Of course there could be It could be a great space for developers. The importance of the space is it is a per instrument/fx space. It has an equivelent potential to be a back door GUI.
