Feature Requests (l.v. and dim. . . . .n)

1. Please give l.v. the same MIDI setting as ped. It means the same thing and, as someone who writes a lot of guitar music, it would help a lot.
2. In the dynamics tool, please allow “dim . . . . . n”. It works with a hairpin, so it would be nice if it worked with the text as well.

Do you mean the text or the tie symbol?

If it’s text, just create your own Playing Technique. It works like a charm for me.

Thanks Daniel. I hadn’t explored playing techniques yet, to you comment is very useful. I’d still like to see both the l.v. text and the open-ended slurs have a playback component.

I can’t remember if I had to wire it up manually, but under Library → Playing Techniques, in the Common category there is Laissez Vibrer (l.v.). Just make sure the Playback Technique is set correctly (to Laissez Vibrer).

Then you can just add that to the expression map (on events: CC64/127, off events: CC64/1). See this thread:
