Not to put a blunt point on this, but it’s possible Steinberg wants Cubase to remain the host of full automation, and Wavelab to be the final step? I’m wondering if this could at least be a distinction between Elements and Pro, at least. It would further help sell WL Pro over Elements.
For anywhere, really. Clips, Tracks, Audio editor, etc. It would be helpful to have a level automation/envelope for Pre-processing and then one for after Master processing. I hope that makes sense.
